My local Goodwill thrift store has an auction once a week. You can put a bid in a binder at any time, but the live auction is the final word - a dollar higher than the written bid will take almost anything. I bought four cameras for $22. Crazy deal. I got a 16MP Nikon Coolpix, new in a box! The other three were archaic junk, basically. I tore apart the cheapest one to extract the lens elements to play with; lightning STRUCK! and I created FRANKEN-PHONE!!
One of the elements taped in place over the lens of my cheap camera phone makes it a Macro-Phone-Cam. Lovely distortions, no extra charge!
