I will miss the quirky aspects of Austin. I've never seen streets with '1/2' in their name here on the East Coast.

The first thing that comes to my mind here is the beautiful and creepy song "Hotel California"...
The second thing is about the plants at bottom of your shot: they look alive and waiting and hungry for some human flesh, maybe.
I love it when a photographer succeeds in capturing the ordinary to make it look extraordinary: you made this motel/house look like some mysteriously haunted place one could want to avoid visiting =kudos:)

You know, at first I was going to object to the Eagles song reference, but I actually see your point!  You are very nice to give such a fulsome comment. Merci beaucoup for Looking and Liking.

Nice composition, interesting variety of colors- these strange angles are pleasing.

the only thing that bothers me is that pinch point at the the corner of the roof. It would be nice to have more space there, but I guess that not possible with the cropping format.

It is a little tight, but the agave plants at the bottom are critical to the surreal effect. I shot 1/2 a dozen frames and this was the best cropping. I appreciate your interest.
